Memory Tree or Shrub “Together Forever”

Rest Ashured offers another special option for couples — Together Forever Living Memorials. Once we have received both sets of ashes from the family, we reverently scatter them together at the base of an evergreen or deciduous tree (your choice) or a decorative shrub. Then, after a fresh layer of mulch is lain to blanket the ashes, a personalized stone is set atop to memorialize the beloved couple’s lives.

Memory Tree Planning

Once your order is placed, we will plant the tree in your honor. To begin, please select the service below. Then, we’ll call you to discuss the available options for trees. We will plant either an evergreen tree or a deciduous tree on our secluded private property. When the time comes, we will respectfully incorporate your ashes with fresh ground cover around the base of the tree. We will also place a personalized, engraved memorial stone beneath the tree.

We will happily come and pick up your loved one’s remains if you’d prefer. The rate for this is $75/hour of travel. The total price varies based on travel and distance. Please contact us with questions about calculating your distance.

Pet Scatter Garden

Your pet’s ashes will be scattered with care on our private property, which overlooks the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and portions of the James River. Our Mountain View property is still very much in its natural state and cleared only enough to enhance the breathtaking views. Service Includes:

- We will add your Pet’s Name to a memorial stone (maximum of 20 characters) and place it at the scattering site.

Planting a decorative shrub in memory of someone can be a more affordable option to honor your loved one. A flowering Memory Shrub will serve as a beautiful remembrance of their life. We will respectfully scatter the ashes and place an engraved and personalized memorial stone beneath his or her flowering shrub.

A Memory Shrub can also be planted without the ashes of a loved one. For some families, they simply want a living memorial to stand in honor of their loved one. We will also place a memory stone at the base of the shrub, to serve as a testament to the family’s love and reverence.
