We consider our pets to be family at Rest Ashured. To celebrate the special bond between pets and their people, we’ve built a separate Scattering Garden. You can Rest Ashured with the knowledge that your pet’s ashes will be scattered with dignity and respect.
The Process
When you select this option, we’ll send you a package containing all the necessary materials to ship your pets remains. This includes:
- Boxes
- Label
- Tape
- Simple Instructions
You’ll ship this package back to us with your pet’s cremated ashes inside. You can send it from your local post office.

Once we receive the ashes, we’ll scatter them on our beautiful Virginia property overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains.
We’ll conduct an unattended ash scattering ceremony on your behalf. This spreads your pet’s ashes during the planting process. Afterwards, we’ll send you a Certificate of Release. This marks the date and exact location of your pet’s remains.
On our annual Days of Celebration, you can visit your pet’s final resting place. These events take place twice each year during the spring and fall. You’ll have the opportunity to see your pet’s memorial and celebrate your bond.
