6-Passenger Limit
Our “Together Forever” option, allows up to 6 passengers to accompany the couple’s ashes on the boat ride to scatter the ashes.
- We will put you in direct contact with the boat captain to schedule your trip .
- On your scheduled evening, you will simply meet him at the boat slip to begin your time on the water. (Scatterings typically start after 5:00 pm, depending on the location.)
- Total time on the water is about 1.5 hours.
- Due to the unpredictability of the weather and water conditions, please be advised that conducive weather will need to be confirmed the day before the scheduled release. If weather is not conducive to a safe trip, the captain will call to inform you and reschedule for as soon as possible. We appreciate your understanding, as the safety of our customers and crew is a top priority.

Historic Topsail Island has been a favorite family vacation spot for generations, which can make it a very meaningful place to honor a couple’s memory with a Burial at Sea. Our “Together Forever” option, allows up to 6 passengers to accompany the couple’s ashes on the three-mile boat ride out from the shores of Topsail.

Price range: $700.00 through $1,400.00
Up to 6 passengers standard — with option for up to 14 additional passengers.
Whether a couple has ties to the military or just its beautiful vacation spot, Virginia Beach has a special meaning to many. Friends and family can join in on an approximately 90-minute (round-trip) boat ride, where the ashes of the couple will be released together, forever, three miles from the Virginia shore. Larger families may prefer this location, as the boat at this site can accommodate up to 20 passengers (additional fees apply for each passenger above a total of 6).

“Together Forever” Unattended Burial at Sea
Price range: $575.00 through $650.00
For families who wish to honor a couple’s last request of being together forever at sea, but can’t be there in person, we offer the “Together Forever” Burial at Sea option. This service is offered at any of our locations off the coast of Virginia or North Carolina. Following the beautiful ocean release, three miles offshore, we will send a Certificate or Release. This keepsake will display the couple’s names, as well as the date and coordinates of the scattering. Please note: Ashes may be shipped to our Virginia location, but for unattended arrangements at our Charleston and Outer Banks locations, the ashes must be personally delivered to our boat captains.

Memory Tree “Together Forever” Preplanning

Rest Ashured provides a special way for a devoted couple to symbolize their love, even when planning their final resting place. By selecting the Together Forever Preplanning option you can rest, knowing your earthly bonds will not be unbroken. Once we have received both sets of ashes from the family, we reverently scatter them together at the base of an evergreen or deciduous tree (your choice). Then, after a fresh layer of mulch is lain to blanket the ashes, a personalized stone is set atop to memorialize the beloved couple’s lives.

Our Together Forever plan will ensure that both sets of ashes are scattered together after we receive them from the family or funeral home. We will then place an engraved stone atop the ashes, personalized with the couple’s names.
